Dear Residents (and other readers),
Following our series of communications with our residents and local organisations we have continued on the lengthy path demanded by legislation. As you will know, we have recently been ‘out for comments’ from people or organisations with an interest in Claverham’s development future. This process concluded at midnight on 1st August .
As well as our residents, whom we bombarded with emails (Sorry… we are required to well and truly advertise), we have contacted 39 possibly interested parties: Statutory Bodies, local interest groups and land owners who may be affected or have views we were previously unaware of. We then contacted all of them a second time, whether that be by email or letter to ensure they could respond if they wished.
We have received a number of comments all of which have been shared with Yatton Parish Council, North Somerset Planning and our Pre-Submission Health Check examiner. The commentary we received is being considered and processed after which we are then submitting our Plan and evidence for its health-check.
All commentary is being considered.
The health-check is a valuable process whereby an experienced and independent planner reviews the Plan and provides a learned opinion on whether the Plan is ready to be submitted to North Somerset Council (for their final review and then statutory examination).
Thank you for your support, we know that the process goes on and on but speed is not in our gift and we are trying to go as fast as ‘procedures’ will allow.
I will report again as soon as we have further information. (PLEASE SEE THE NEXT POST AND MAYBE COMMENT UPON THE LATEST VERSION OF CS33 THAT WILL CONTROL OUR PLANNING FUTURE AT NORTH SOMERSET CORE STRATEGY)
