Welcome to the Draft Neighbourhood Plan (Updated 28/04/17)
Claverham Future has been working to produce a set of documents published here as drafts. This document has been through many stages of commentary by North Somerset and their officers. We are now submitting this version of the Plan to Yatton Parish Council for them to consider at their full council meeting on 8th May.
Following that meeting, and provided it meets with our Parish Councillors’ approval it will be issued to North Somerset Council for them to arrange a public consultation period of six weeks. (Note: these drafts are also being issued in advance to North Somerset so as to catch any key issues and so they can inform Yatton Parish Council of procedures for their upcoming submission on this Plan.)
Following the Statutory Consultation period all commentary will be passed along with the documents to an examiner for consideration as to conformity with Basic Conditions (i.e. in harmony with National, Local and other relevant requirements). Provided the commentary is not damaging and the Plan meet Basic Conditions the Plan will be passed with possible Examiner directed modification to be voted upon in a simple majority of votes cast Plan Area referendum.
There are six documents (1) The Draft Plan (2) Statement of Consultation (3) Document Bundle (3a) Document L (4) Basic Conditions Statement and (5) Statement Of Consultation Appendices.
The important document is the Draft Plan which will become part of the planning control applied to development in Claverham Plan Area (click for Plan Area map). This document contains the Policies (rules for developers and those wishing to build) that arise from the matters Claverham cares about. (Following the Public Meeting on 18th March 2016, 7:30 at Claverham Village Hall we made amendments and taken our documents to Yatton Parish Council on 13/6/16 and they approved the Plan to go forward for consultation. We have since taken on board matters of process and planning practice advised by Barbara Maksymiw who undertook a pre-examination health check arranged by NPIERS (Click to see web-page) We now offer the revised documents to NSC for their final overview and, hopefully, the final stages of their consultation and official examination).
There are five other documents of evidence that the examiner will refer to as necessary to see that we have complied with regulations (this has been a major part of Claverham Future’s work).
You are welcome to review these documents. See the Evidence Documents Here
